You are an engineer just out of college. You have an interview with one of the most prestigious engineering firms in the country, and as part of the interview process, you must complete a challenge: design a bridge that holds more weight than any other candidate's design. In order to do this, you must "review" (learn about) the four major types of the most commonly used bridges. Next, you must draw a prototype of your bridge. Finally, you will have to defend your choice of bridge type and test it in front of the other candidates. Your degree of success will determine whether or not you get the job of your dreams at CHS Engineering!

Essential Question: How do engineers know how to design an effective bridge?
